Personal Development Courses

Our courses focus on independent living, rights and responsibilities.

Nottinghamshire County Council Adult and Community Learning service has commissioned a-2-e to deliver learning to adults with learning disabilitiesaged 19+ who live in or have services provided by the County Council. The 3 day courses are funded by the Skills Funding Agency.

Courses are designed for entry level and above and all have SMART aims and objectives. Themes can be developed to suit learners with a wide range of abilities. Each activity aims to build on skills and knowledge and real life experience and progression information is given the help people and their carers to take next steps to progress their learning.

  • How to keep safe at home
  • How to travel safely
  • How to interview staff to work with you

  • How to make the best of yourself
  • How to do self advocacy
  • How to do advocacy for others
